Role Description
Metafoodx is looking for a motivated QA Testing Intern for a full-time or part-time unpaid internship, depending on the candidate’s availability. This is an on-site role based in San Jose, CA, with occasional travel required. As a QA Testing Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our AI-powered software solutions. Your primary focus will be on manual testing, troubleshooting issues, and supporting the team with product testing and debugging efforts. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to AI research tasks, such as data annotation and model tuning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform thorough manual testing of software features and systems.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues in a clear and organized manner.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging software and hardware issues.
• Support the QA team in developing and refining test plans and procedures.
• Contribute to AI model research through annotation tasks and basic tuning.
• Be flexible and willing to assist with any work required to support the team’s goals.
• Occasionally travel to other locations for customer deployment support.
Qualifications:
• Current students or recent graduates in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to testing and problem-solving.
• Experience with manual QA testing processes and tools.
• Familiarity with debugging software systems.
• Basic understanding of AI concepts and willingness to learn.
• Willingness to be flexible and take on tasks beyond core responsibilities to support team objectives.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
